Hi! This is me, @ananyasaraf.design‘s personal art and design exhibit agenda for the month; shared here because art and organised grids (two things sitting conveniently high on my list of interests) now felt worthy of an audience.

I’m drawn to contemporary art and design, especially the ones that makes me physically move, look twice. The kind that makes my brain tingle.

This list focuses on Kolkata since I’m based here, with occasional exhibits from other cities I plan to visit (and as my chronically online self digs deeper.) Do reach out if I miss anything :)

Long Term Exhibitions

While Bose looked at it from an investigative eye, Dodiya looked at the themes from a clinical and medical lens. Slightly disturbing at first, the idea of the hospital beds acting like sites of holding stories, change, and what has happened, as generative and not something to mourn felt interesting. Then there were also points where the hospital bed frames felt like barricades and railings to me. And that’s when even the elephant and rabbit made sense. The gaze, the placement, felt like a cry for help, trapped by the industrial society's advance. What Is It To Feel Moved?**](https://www.instagram.com/p/Db7qsoUk8Yq/) | As a next step from module XXIV that examined the aesthetic criteria of what it is to feel moved, this module considers the technologies of its failure. Over two sessions, we will interrogate our capacities to remain unmoved for symptoms of an injured sociality, an unhinging of form from life, and a global politics of inertness.
